Gavdos Tavernas on Sarakiniko Beach, the ‘Saracens Beach’ is one of the stunning stretches of sand on the coast of Gavdos.
You will not find any sun loungers to hire, parasols, watersports or other trappings of many holiday resorts, just sun, sand and sea. There may be one or two seats on the sand, provided by the the bars such as ‘Notos’ here right on the beach.

Many visitors to the island are ‘free camping’ with their tents erected under the trees, or even right on the beach.
